SMTP settings

Use the exact relay hostname from your mySMTP setup email. relayxx.mysmtp.com is only an example.
Shared IP plans are only available to customers in Denmark. All other customers use a dedicated hostname.

Setup by brand

1

Open Web Based Management

Open a web browser, enter the printer’s IP address, and log in as an administrator.
2

Navigate to SMTP settings

Go to Network > Protocol > SMTP Advanced Settings.
3

Enter the SMTP server

In SMTP Server, enter your mySMTP relay hostname (e.g. relayxx.mysmtp.com).
4

Set the port and encryption

Set SMTP Port to 587 and set SSL/TLS or Security to STARTTLS.
5

Enable authentication

Turn on SMTP Authentication and enter your mySMTP User Name and Password.
6

Set the sender address

Enter the Sender E-mail Address (for example, printer@yourdomain.com). This domain must be on your mySMTP account.
7

Save and test

Click Submit or Apply. Send a test scan-to-email to confirm delivery.

Troubleshooting

  • Cannot connect: check that your firewall allows outbound traffic on port 587. If blocked, try port 2525 or 25.
  • Authentication failed: re-enter your mySMTP username and password. They are case-sensitive.
  • Relay denied: the sender address must use a domain authenticated for your mySMTP account. See DNS settings quick explainer.
  • No STARTTLS option: on older models, choose TLS or enable the highest available encryption setting and confirm the port is 587.
