SMTP settings

Use the exact relay hostname from your mySMTP setup email. relayxx.mysmtp.com is only an example.
Shared IP plans are only available to customers in Denmark. All other customers use a dedicated hostname.

Configure the device

1

Open PageScope Web Connection

Open a web browser, enter the device’s IP address, and log in as Administrator.
2

Navigate to E-mail Settings

Go to Administrator > Network > E-mail Setting > E-mail TX (SMTP).
3

Enter the SMTP server

In SMTP Server, enter your mySMTP relay hostname (e.g. relayxx.mysmtp.com).
4

Set the port and encryption

Set SMTP Port to 587 and set SSL/TLS or Encryption to STARTTLS.
5

Enable SMTP authentication

Turn on SMTP Authentication and enter your mySMTP User Name and Password.
6

Set the sender address

Enter the Sender E-mail Address (for example, scanner@yourdomain.com). This domain must be authenticated for your mySMTP account.
7

Save and test

Click OK or Apply to save. Send a test scan-to-email to confirm delivery.

Troubleshooting

  • Cannot connect to server: confirm your firewall allows outbound traffic on port 587. If blocked, try port 2525 or 25.
  • Invalid user name or password: re-enter your mySMTP username and password carefully. They are case-sensitive.
  • Relay denied: the sender address domain must be on your mySMTP account. See DNS settings quick explainer.
  • STARTTLS not listed: on some models, choose TLS or enable encryption after confirming the port is 587.
