Configure iPhone or iPad Mail

1

Open Mail account settings

Open Settings, then go to Apps > Mail > Mail Accounts.
On older iOS versions, the path is Settings > Mail > Accounts.
2

Select your account

Tap the email account you want to configure.
3

Open SMTP settings

Tap Account, then tap SMTP under Outgoing Mail Server.
4

Add or edit the primary server

Tap the existing primary server, or tap Add Server to create a new one.
5

Enter the server details

Fill in the fields:
  • Host Name: your relay hostname (e.g. relayxx.mysmtp.com)
  • User Name: your mySMTP SMTP username
  • Password: your mySMTP SMTP password
  • Use SSL: turn on
  • Authentication: select Password
  • Server Port: 587
6

Save and verify

Tap Done, then tap Account > Done to save. Send a test email to confirm delivery.

Troubleshooting

  • Cannot send mail: verify the host name matches the one in your setup email.
  • Connection fails: check that Use SSL is on and the port is 587. If your network blocks 587, try 2525.
  • Authentication error: re-enter your mySMTP username and password. Make sure Authentication is set to Password.
