Payment methods

mySMTP accepts the following payment methods: Danish public sector customers can use EAN invoicing in connection with manual bank transfer setup. See Manual account setup for more information.

VAT information

This is general information about VAT treatment. It is not tax advice. Contact support@mysmtp.com to add or correct a VAT number on your account.

Danish customers

Customers in Denmark are charged 25% Danish VAT on all services.

EU business customers

If you are a business in the EU (outside Denmark) with a valid VAT number registered in VIES, mySMTP applies the reverse charge mechanism. No VAT is charged on the invoice, and you account for VAT in your own country. Your VAT number must be valid in the VIES database at the time of invoicing.

EU consumers

If you are a consumer in the EU (outside Denmark), VAT is charged at the applicable rate for your country.

Customers outside the EU

Customers located outside the European Union are generally not charged EU VAT.

VAT number validation

mySMTP validates EU VAT numbers through the VIES (VAT Information Exchange System) database. Make sure your VAT number is entered correctly in your client area to ensure proper invoicing.
