Google Postmaster Tools and Microsoft Smart Network Data Services (SNDS) are free dashboards that show how major mailbox providers view your mail. Setting up both lets you spot reputation problems before they become delivery failures.

19 free browser-based tools for authentication, reputation, and warmup. No account required.

Google Postmaster Tools

Google Postmaster Tools shows reputation, authentication, and complaint data for domains sending to Gmail.

Add your domain

1

Go to Google Postmaster Tools and sign in with a Google account.
2

Add a domain

Click the + button and enter the domain you send mail from.
3

Verify ownership

Google gives you a DNS TXT record. Add the TXT record at your DNS provider, then return to Postmaster Tools and click Verify.

Dashboards and data

Data may take several days to appear after verification, and dashboards only populate when Gmail receives enough volume from your domain.

Microsoft SNDS

Microsoft SNDS provides data for mail sent to Outlook.com, Hotmail, and Exchange Online Protection.

Sign up and request IP access

1

Create an account

Go to Microsoft SNDS and sign up or sign in with a Microsoft account.
2

Request IP data

Navigate to the IP data request section and enter your dedicated IP address.
3

Complete verification

Microsoft sends a verification email to the contact address associated with your IP. This may be the WHOIS or abuse contact, or the address from your rDNS PTR record.
SNDS only works for dedicated IPs. It does not provide data for shared IPs.

When mySMTP must approve

If the verification email goes to a mySMTP-managed contact address, mySMTP may need to approve the request. If you do not receive the verification email or your request is pending, contact support@mysmtp.com.

Interpreting SNDS data

Use the warmup generator at toolbox.smtp.ai to build a safe volume ramp when launching a new dedicated IP.
